Classes daily. All times PST. Daily schedule as follows:
7AM to 9AM — Buddhist Refuge and Loving-Kindness
Seven Limb Prayer meditation on the guru followed by Loving-kindness meditations. We will have different compassion focuses each day.
10AM to 12PM — Shamata Practice
Guided sessions on increasing the power of concentration. At least three ghatikas — i.e., 24-minute sessions with a six-minute break between sessions. The sessions will initially be led then move into less guidance as they progress.
2PM to 4PM — The Five Buddha Families and the Inner Winds
Brief teachings on the inner winds and how they coincide with the five buddha families, followed by guided meditations to deepen the experience for life practice.
5PM to 7PM — Worldview and Relaxation
Teachings and meditations on karma and emptiness followed by relaxation. We will relax after a full day of deep practice by doing a Yoga Nidra session or enjoying a short story read from the Jataka tales — stories where the Buddha recounts some of his past lives on his road to enlightenment — while in Shavasana.
